Aretec President Roby Luna has been approved by the Rhode Island Senate to become a member of the newly formed Board of Trustees at the University of Rhode Island. Luna, a 2004 URI graduate, joins 16 other members appointed by Governor Gina Raimondo and approved by a Senate vote on January 29. Raimondo, along with the Rhode Island General Assembly, created the oversight board and included it as part of this year’s state budget. According to a URI press release, “the board will oversee employment, and the University’s property, purchases and procurement.
